About the Artist

Patricia Falco, Runamok Images

The genesis of Patricia Falco’s passion for the natural world and an eye for art, began as she observed her father absorb the outdoors as an avid hunter and capture the same through his love of photography. Seeing Jake’s enthusiasm for both, Patricia emulated him by often roaming the woods of Coaldale for hours while trying to bring out that beauty in the high school’s dark room.

After earning her degree in Business Management, and settling in Orwigsburg, Pat opened her own retail and service business. Pat believes in giving back to the community and has served as the president of the local business association and as a member of several board of directors: along the way receiving many accolades, including Schuylkill County’s Businesswoman of the Year. After 22 successful years, she realized a need to decompress and follow her love of art and travel.

Shot with her favorite Olympus camera, Pat’s photography is ever evolving. While her roots are in nature and landscape, she constantly travels locally and afar, seeking out the history and beauty of the world around us. Experimenting with different styles of photography, such as macro, street, and still life, help stretch her imagination and boundaries and keep her energized. Beyond the image itself, Pat feels the framing, medium on which the photo is printed- paper, canvas, metal, or wood and the presentation- are all integral parts of the expression of her art. The elements combine to complete the story caught in her vision.

In addition to being published in local magazines and being featured in print and electronically by tourism agencies, Pat’s pieces hang in local galleries and along the way her creations have garnered awards at art exhibitions and juried shows. She is honored to have her work available at The Art & Craft Gallery of Hamburg.
