About the Artist

David W. Fisher, Fisher Forge

Fisher Forge was founded by blacksmith David Fisher in 1992. David began working in the blacksmithing forge while restoring an old stone farm house. His passion for metalwork grew from there, along with the various types of items made and the materials used. At his blacksmith workshop, David works with steel, aluminum, stainless steel, copper, brass, and bronze to create countless handmade metal pieces. The types of items crafted include antique reproductions, kitchen utensils, railings, gates, and fencing. Additionally, he creates custom car and motorcycle parts, furniture, artistic pieces, and hardware for cabinets, furniture and doors. His unique style and craftsmanship are among the best in the area. Accordingly, he is well-known throughout the blacksmithing world.

Copper & Brass Blacksmith

Proudly serving the Bucks County and Lehigh Valley area. The main goal of Fisher Forge blacksmith shop is to design and produce quality hand crafted items from metal. To this end, we use blacksmithing techniques, traditional forging, and other metal working methods to create functional yet beautiful results.

FEATURED IN PRINT & TV

And it’s not just homes that David’s custom blacksmithing work has been displayed in. It has also graced the pages of magazines including Early American Live, Wood Workers Journal, and Martha Stewart Living, (where he was listed as Martha’s favorite blacksmith). His work was even featured on TV, on Extreme Make Over Home Addition and DIY Network’s Money Hunters, which he helped stage and appeared on. Most recently he demonstrated with Chilean sculptor Francisco Gazitua at the 2014 ABANA Conference.

BLACKSMITHING ORGANIZATION

David is past vice president of Pennsylvania Artist Blacksmith Association (PABA) and a member of Artist Blacksmith Association of North America (ABANA). He is also a juried member of both the Pennsylvania and Reading/Berks Guild of Craftsmen. Membership in these organizations have allowed him to continue his education in blacksmithing to create truly unique and custom works of art.

Statement from David Fisher:
“Your imagination is the limitation on your creativity. It is fulfilling to take a material that is cold and harsh, and make it feel warm and inviting. I welcome the opportunity to review your requirements and bring them to life.”

Work is currently displayed in the Art and Craft Gallery of Hamburg at 320 State Street, Hamburg, PA.
